What are the job opportunities in aviation?

Which job will give me more opportunities?

  • I just graduated from college with a math degree and a minor in economics. Upon graduation I searched night and day for a job because I am a single mom with two kids. I had already decided that I would take the first job offered to me because I am really in no position to be picky. Luckily a week before graduation I was offered a position in a credit union in the loan department.Basically I responsible for processing loans, submitting loans for approval/denial , and contacting customers with loan decisions. I actually do a lot more but is too much to type. I am learning a lot about the lending/underwriting process and am now thinking to take my career in the underwriting direction. I was also recently offered a job at HP as a Technical Solutions Rep II ( I also have a computer-related associate's degree). My job would basically would be to answer customer calls and help them solve computer related problems. Both jobs don't pay well (11.16 and 12.40 respectively) but as I said I was desperate and hoping to at least gain some experience for a better paying job in the future. So my question is which job do you think will lead to better opportunities in the future? My current job in the credit union or the job at HP? I'm trying to figure out if i should stay put or leave. HELP!

  • Answer:

This is only my opinion, but my choice would be to stay with the credit union. This is based on your college major/minor. Look up HP's web and see what career paths are available. Ultimately, it is your decision.
