Is this a suitable resume objective?

Resume objective help please?

  • I need help with my resume objective. I'm not trained in any position and I don't have a degree. So this is just an objective to get a job any job. Here's what I got: To obtain a job that will not only enhance my current skills, but provide me with new skills and knowledge that will assist in my future career development. Also an organized, independent worker with strong time-management skills. Good?? Bad?? Need to be fixed?? What should change?? Any help is much appreciated and welcomed. No I won't be going back to school. I can't afford the out of pocket expenses and I'm ineligible for financial aid due to previous problems. Also I haven't had a job since 2008. What should I put for that?? That I was going to school and actively looking for a job. Or wait until someone asks me?? And two sice this resume is going all over the Internet what should I do about contact information??? I don't want creepers and stalkers calling my numbers or coming to my house. So what should I do about that?? Thanx again!!

In my opinion the objective you wrote makes it sound like you are asking the employer to figure out what you should do and the second line you wrote isn't an objective, but a list of skills/traits you say you possess. Just lose the objective all together, they are out dated and really not necessary anymore. ****What have you been doing since 2008? if nothing leave it black and explain on applications and or in interview. ****Don't post your resume to where it goes all over the internet. Post it on a site like Monster; Career Builders, Indeed, SnagAJob, but post your resume to where it is PRIVATE. By posting it to where it is private, it gives you the choice to whom you want to send your resume to. Making your to where it can be viewed publicly is a big mistake, you will be giving out your personal information, you will be getting calls from all sorts of scammers and new recruiters trying to keep their jobs by getting interviews in. Again post your resume on whatever sites you want; set up job search alerts containing the information/areas you are interested in and job openings will be emailed to you daily or weekly and you can pick and choose who you want to send your resume to. *****First piece of advice, do not ramble on and give so much personal detail and so many excuses in regards to not working as you did on here. Do NOT mention how you were in and out of school so much, it makes you look unreliable. List on your resume above your last actual job; 2008 - Present Assisting Disabled Parent, and then you can explain in not great detail what you have been doing and perhaps that you have been taking a few classes here and there in the meantime. How do you figure employers are being unreasonalble because YOU don't have reliable transportation? The employer could careless how you get their, its a business and they need dependable people and rely on them to be there on time. You aren't the only one who uses public transit and you may not like it, but you have access to it. I wouldn't want to use public transit either, but if that's all you have you have to suck it up and deal with it until you can afford to drive yourself. It seems to me, from what you posted, that you are blaming everybody and everything else for your problems! Life isn't easy. If you don't want to take the bus, start babysitting, house cleaning...in your neighborhood that you can walk to. HOW OLD ARE YOU AND WHAT TYPE OF JOB ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

Bad. It's too long. You should never have complete sentences on a resume. Curtail your objective to every position you apply for. Use words they use in the job description, and try to be specific. If you're applying for a sales job, state that you want to increase sales by 5% and so on. Why haven't you been employed since 2008? I wouldn't say anything about that unless they ask, unless you were taking classes. As far as contact info, you need your name, address, phone number, and email. And don't have an email that's "kittycatfun91," create one with your name, something that's easy to remember and looks professional. You don't have a choice here. You have to give contact info. I don't understand what you mean by your resume is going to be all over the internet. If you're using career websites, your resume will only be sent to the companies you apply to. It's not going to posted anywhere unless you do so yourself. Don't post it on craigslist.
