Is it possible to give your opinion on Youtube without getting attacked?

  • There are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many makeup videos online where I leave a comment giving my opinion. only my opinion. Stating that it's only my opinion, and acknowledging that the poster of the video has every right to ignore it and do what she wants, but that's it's nothing but my personal opinion. And I get CONSTANTLY attacked for it. Once I left a comment saying "I think the eye makeup is pretty, but I don't think the red lip was the best way to go". And I was BOMBARDED with comments talking about how i'm so jealous, and i'm a total hater, and I shouldn't watch the video if I don't like it and all that other stuff. It's SO annoying! Isn't the entire purpose of the comment section to leave opinions? It's not as though I left a vicious comment talking about how stupid and ugly she is and how she needs to get off Youtube because she doesn't know how the hell to apply makeup. I just left my own, personal, REASONABLE opinion! And then I feel compelled to go reply to all of those people explaining and defending myself, and by that points I've pretty much layered over the compliments to the video poster as thick as honey to try and reverse people thinking I'm a hater and it's not even my honest opinion anymore. it irritates me so much.
