Are there any free movie making programs similar to Windows Movie Maker?

• So, Me and my friends are making a Horror Movie called No Place Like Home were me and my friends are in a zombie apocalypse and we need some effects for the zombies, blood and stuff. I know how to do it and can u list the programs i would need? I already have Photoshop and Windows Movie Maker.

  Search YouTube for Movie Maker Effects. Most people are surprised at how many there are. For true video fx, you're going to need Adobe's After Effects. There's also WAX and Jahshaka both of which are free. All video fx software has a learning curve. There's a lot of positioning and size tweaking, etc. that has to be done. Most of it is for 3D and particle effects. http://www.debugmode.com/wax/ Jahshaka was supposed to come out with an upgrade but it seems to have lost its way. The older version is still available for download. http://www.jahshaka.com/ If you need to create oozing blood and other body fluids, you'll have to improvise ...which means you'll have to know how to use a program and then get creative with it. You could try compositing oozing fluids but you'd have to make or download a separate video of the oozing stuff.
