What is Macbeth about?

What is revealed about the relationship between macbeth and lady macbeth in act 3?

In my opinion, for what it's worth, I'm not sure we learn much about Lady Macbeth and Macbeth that we didn't know already. The one particularly interesting part of the act is that after Macbeth has plotted to have Banquo and Fleance assassinated, he refuses to tell Lady M about it, "Be innocent of the knowledge, dearest chuck..." You would think, given what they've already done together, he wouldn't feel the need to keep the plan a secret. I guess, you could say that this is the beginning of the end of their relationship. At this point, they begin to drift apart - start to become more insular with their guilt and the thoughts that plague them, this is especially true of Macbeth, I would say anyway. Other than that, the main feature of the act is the banquet scene and Macbeth going loopy at the sight of Banquo's ghost. During which time, Lady Macbeth, essentially, tells him to pull himself together and protects him by fancy-talkin' the guests. However, this is nothing knew, she behaves in a very similar way after the murder of Duncan Hope that helps!
