I'm an American that wants to look for work in a foreign country. Which country/ies have the best job markets?

No bulls---. No smart-a**ed remarks about me being a cut-and-run. I have a lot of debt, I am sinking like the Titanic. I need a job now, and there are none here. But I am not going to sit around and sulk and complain about the job market and blame all my problems on Washington as most other Americans do. So I'm prepared to hop on a plane and go anywhere in the world (to Afghanistan if I have to) if it means a steady paycheck and a chance to live my life. I have an Italian passport which enables me to work in the EU, for whatever that's worth (though it might not be much). I have a liberal arts degree -- not much use here, but maybe there are other countries where I could actually make some use out of the tens of thousands of dollars I spent to put myself through college.

Answer:
A liberal arts degree isn't quite enough, as you already know. Employers are looking for experience, too. If you're looking for a job in Afghanistan, try KBR. They do a lot of infrastructure support stuff. Life will be rough but not impossible. You might get a job in Japan as an English teacher. The pay isn't great, and your apartment will be the size of a closet. You might try immigrating to Australia, though that's not a given, even if you have a degree. They're looking for people who have an education and some background in trades. Still, it's an option. They speak English (mostly), the lights go on when you hit the switch, and you can trust the doctors if you get sick. Or you can think about a different place in the country that you live in now. If you find the job, there will be zero hassle with visas, registering your residence, getting a driver's license, etc. Plus, you won't have the expense of "hopping a plane." .... Good luck!!

Try Scandinavia! Any of the 5 countries have great liberal arts history and in the cities you definitely could find a job you would love. Also Scandinavians can speak really good English
