Can acute sinusitis increase blood pressure?

Plz help ASAP.. How to naturally increase blood pressure?

  • I have a patient in my home.. my mom. She is highly ill. She's been operated lately, yesterday. It was fine but all of a sudden today her blood pressure went seriously low. It is around 97/27. We are all very much worried. Right now she's in hospital and doctors are trying to raise the blood pressure. She had so much saline water injected in her blood. So hydration is there. But no one knows why it isn't becoming normal. As a remedy she had several bottles of saline water injected and other medicines. But nothing seems to be working. Also, she had a stomach operation (HURNIA), so she isn't allowed to eat anything. And there are only medicines and saline water supplied to her body since almost 15 to 20 days. No food intake at all! PLEASE HELP!!!! What to do now? When should she be given something to eat? It's been more than 24 hours from operation. Can she be given food now? What kind of food? How should we increase the blood pressure??? HELP US!!! PLZ.. I WILL PRAY FOR YOU A LOT IF YOU DO HELP US.. I WILL BE GRATEFUL!!!

  • Answer:

My wife battles with low blood pressure and has for years now. Her situation began during her 2nd pregnancy and has troubled her ever since. It sounds as though your mother's condition may be an acute, short term problem. I pray it is only short term. I wish to god I had a short answer to give you. I know that sodium (salt) tablets available over the counter can help a bit. If you figure out any more answers please share them? For now, my wife concentrates more on avoiding things that lower her pressure further, then trying to raise it. I know things like niacin can significantly lower her pressure. There are some herbal remedies that help some folks too. Most nutrition centers can help you learn which one(s) might benefit your mother the most. Take care, and gods speed to your mothers recovery!

Go to a health food store and ask for the manager. Tell him/or her the whole story. They know a lot about natural remedies and herbs. First, ask to speak to the Dr. and tell him how very concerned you are, he can reassure you.

Elevating her feet could help. Only her doctor knows when she should be allowed to eat. If her blood pressure has always been low, that could be the cause of it being low now, but my guess would be it is because she has not had anything to eat. Find out what medications she is on and look them up and see if that could be causing a drop in her blood pressure. Doctors do not know everything, and you have to question some of the things they do. My prayers are with you and your family.
