What football position should I play in 7th grade football?

Should I play football next year as a sophomore?

• I played rec football in 6th and 7th grade. I am 5'8 160 lbs. In 6th grade, my first year I was 2nd string on the offensive line, and 1st strind for defensive. I always hated o-line, but I loved d-line. It was a fun season. At the end of the season I even got to play some linebacker, which was very fun. in 7th grade, I was on 2nd string for both offensive and defensive line, and never got to play linebacker. It was not very fun, I never played much so the whole time was just practices. It made me not want to play again in 8th grade. I didnt play this year as a freshman either. All of a sudden I really want to play again. i will be a sophomore next year, and I have asked my friends about it, and they said in high school its very different than rec. All 4 people I asked said I would get "crushed", "destroyed", or something similar. Honestly, I was terrible at a lot of the things, and I only got 2-3 tackles that year in 6th grade. My dream position would either be linebacker or defensive tackle. The JV team already has 2 great defensive tackles, so I can not be a starter. I guess I really should play, it helped to write this all down, but what do you guys think? Any tips or suggestions?

  With hard work and perseverance you will get to #1 on the depth chart regardless. Many not happen straight away. + football is a great activity, lots of great experiences
