How can I get through to my boyfriend?

• So long story me and my boyfriend moved together in an apartment with our puppy. The apartment complex we moved in required us to pay an extra deposit for a pet but the guy in the rental office let us slide. A year later we see his cousin and find out that he's breeding miniature schnauzers. We'll needless to say we fell in love with one particular one and decided we wanted to get him. In the time we waited to get him I had small doubts due to the rental office, and let him know my concerns and he brushed it off and reassured me. Once we got the puppy this weekend every fell apart. Him being a baby he cried a lot and loud and once we left it was even worse to the point where you could hear him crying outside of the apartment building. After that I decided that getting him was a bad idea and that we need to take him back. Now my boyfriend is finding every excuse, loophole, and way to keep the dog and is getting angry with me. I'm trying my hardest to make it work but in the meantime the dog is peeing and pooing all over and is loud to the point where I think the rental office will get wind. I'm nervous and upset that my boyfriend is fighting me on this. What should I do to take the dog back myself and cause more friction in our relationship or suffer the consequences? How can I get through to him and get him to take the dog back before we get in trouble? Help!
