Will Youtube Count My Video As Copyright?

Somebody stole my video and posted it on youtube. Is is wrong to file a copyright and infringment complaint?

  • I recently had my video stolen and posted on youtube. I don't have any legal copyright agreement or infringement agreements, but I filed a complaint about it. It states that it is possible that it is against the law to put in a fake claim. I need to know if my claim is considered fake when I have no actual legal documents about my rights to the video, or if somebody wrongly putting my video on youtube is enough to have youtube remove this video. I do not want to have to deal with the police over this issue, but just have this video removed. I am very concerned about this, because this video is very damaging to myself and this video is a complete and utter evil thing for somebody to steal and twist. I just need to know how fast youtube can get rid of this for me, and if it is illegal to file a complaint if i dont have legal copyright papers?

  • Answer:

You are within your rights and you can easily have the stolen video taken down.

COMPLAIN! If it was me then I'd be writing a complaint within 2 seconds it's yours, and if anyone steals something which belongs to you then you have a right to get it taken down :)
