What happens if you don't get into medical school?

What happens if I dont get into physical therapy graduate school?

  • Can you give me a better understanding? From conducting my own research heres what I found... 1) post bachelor degree? (wth is that? do i just retake classes of classes i already took for better grades? how long does that usually take) 2) try a pta program? (is this like graduate school for physical therapy assistants or is this normal schooling all over again?

  • Answer:

I would venture to say that most students take one of a few choices: A. re-enter the university as a student at large...perhaps retaking classes or taking courses similar to physical therapy in order to make one a stronger applicant. Then they reapply the next year B. Enter another graduate course, or take courses to prepare one to enter another similarly related graduate course: audiology, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, physician assistant, etc. Some students may or may not decide to reapply to PT school on top of their preparation to enter another program C. Find work...anything I assume a handful of students would try a PTA program; however, my opinion is that this is not common. After spending 4 years to earn a BS degree, to go back to a 2 year program and come out with an associates degree is not the choice of most.
