How to grow cilantro?

I am not sure how or when to harvest my cilantro. I know basil you top it off before it blooms, but what about cilantro?

Hi There, When the leaves are about six inches tall you can start harvesting. Start with the outer leaves first and the inner leaves will continue to grow. There is a link below with more info. Hope this helps, Al

Cilantro doesn't require many nutrients, we usually mix a bit of compost/manure into the soil and call it good...no fertilizer normally is needed. Once you bed is prepared, make a 1/4" depression into the soil and plant your seeds 1" apart. After your seeds are in, cover them with a layer of fine soil, gently pat your soil and you're ready to water!

You either harvest the "wider" lower leaves prior to flowering or harvest the seed after flowering. If you try to use the leaves while it's in bloom, it has a harsh aspect to the flavor.
