How To Convert Liberty To Paypal?

If Romney believes all the things he said about Christianity at Liberty University, why won't he convert?

  • Have they added the Book of Mormon to the back of the bible when God wasn't looking?

  • Answer:

I think he was speaking generally, not as a theological leader or missionary. Mormonism considers all other churches, including Christianity, to be "abominable" in the sight of God. This is from God's own mouth, according to Mormon scripture (See Joseph Smith History, which is part of the "Pearl of Great Price", one of the books included in the Mormon "Standard Works"). However, there is this weird disconnect between what God said, and what Mormon apologists say today. For example, you have Ammon giving you the answer, "THE Church Of JESUS CHRIST Of Latter Day Saints is the true Church Of Jesus Christ. Therefor Mitt Romney does not need to convert, he already is a member of a Christian Church." Let's examine this. He states that the Mormon church is the "true church" of Jesus Christ, implying that all other churches are not the "true church". But then he goes on and states that Romney is already a member of a "Christian Church", as if to say that all Christian churches are ok, and Mormonism is one of them. Sorry Ammon, you can't have it both ways. Either Mormonism is the only true church and all the others are false, or else all of Christianity is the "true church". I'm sure Romney suffers from this cognitive dissonance as well. But he is more interested in winning the presidency than in theological debates.

More evidence that Romney will say absolutely anything to be elected.....including rejecting his own faith.

THE Church Of JESUS CHRIST Of Latter Day Saints is the true Church Of Jesus Christ. Therefor Mitt Romney does not need to convert, he already is a member of a Christian Church. On another note vote Ron Paul. Ron Paul is not Mormon, but he is a good and great man nonetheless. http://Mormon.org Chat. God bless.

Ammon

He obviously already has. It is you who lack the faith to believe in the Book of Mormon too. The Book of Mormon is a gift from God.

Your question implies that "Mormons" don't believe much of what the Protestant Christian churches believe. That is Absolutely not true. We can and do share many or most beliefs with mainstream Protestant churches, yes we view God a little more literal than you do with the Trinity issue. But we very strongly believe and teach that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer! We just don't see him as his own Father, we also view the Holy Ghost as the third member of the God Head, making one eternal God. We have more detail and hope for the Future, and see each of us (you included) as a literal son or daughter of God our Father, thus we can progress through eternity to become like him and share in his work. We don't hold to one level of heaven, but many levels or houses in our fathers Kingdom. We do teach of one Hell, but in order to go there one must become a son of perdition, meaning to have a perfect knowledge of God and choose to fight against him. These are the most often sited differences cited by critics of the LDS church. Aside from these main areas we share most of your beliefs with you, or at least with the mainstream Protestant churches. So really he is already converted I presume, and expects to be saved by the Grace of Jesus Christ. I have not talked with him directly on this reply, but it is following the general teaching of the LDS church supposing he really believes in the LDS church, and I have no reason to doubt he does.

Because he's already Christian. We do sometimes bind other scriptures with the Bible so we have only one volume to handle during church. But that's just how the Bible started -- people binding independent books together.

Did you ever research the beliefs of the Mormon faith? It is quite bizarre. It all came about here in America.

NONAME

Wait a week or so and he will say the oppisite. He can never stay on one side of any issue.

If you think Romney believes any of the crap in the bible or the book of Mormon, you are a fool. In his defense, I don't think Barack or most intelligent politicians believe that crap either. You should decide for yourself who is the biggest hyporcrite?

Huh?

Because he clearly doesn't believe deep down.
