How to become an architecture?

Has anyone graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture and become an Officer within the US Navy's CEC?

  • I graduated a few days ago with a Bachelor of Architecture from a NAAB Accredited University, does anyone know someone with an Architecture degree in the US Navy? (Specifically, within the Civil Engineering Corps). I'm curious to know day-to-day responsibilities and typical deployment lengths (I know these vary greatly, I'm simply asking for your specific deployment experiences). I've spoken with a recruiter extensively for the past 6 months, however I'm looking for real-life experiences from someone Active or recently Active. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I am as excited as I could possibly be to finally submit my application, I'm simply wondering about more of the specifics that have been left out during the recruiting process. Thank you for your time. (May 14th, 2012)

From what I've heard, CEC wasn't looking for anyone who didn't have a CE degree. I'm not sure they'd take you with an Architecture degree. Someone else in the Navy might, however.
