How can I create my own hosted svn server?

Can I transfer my Minecraft world to a server?

  • I've been mucking around on Minecraft for a while now. So the single player world I have created has a ton of work in it. Now my friend wants to play with me, so I was hoping I could create a server (either hosted by me, or online) and have it load my offline world as a playable online world. Is this possible? How would I go about it?

Assuming you have a server... 1. Make sure that your single player world and server are on the same version of minecraft. 2. Copy your minecraft single player world by going into your start bar (windows) and typing %appdata% then clicking on minecraft and then into saves. Find the world you want to play on with your server and place where you can easily acess it. 3. Take your minecraft server exe and place it in a folder titled whatever you want. 4. Run it once until it says "done" on the command prompt. Then close it. 5. You will a "world" file in your folder, delete it. 6. Drag your single player world that you want to play on into the folder where the old world was (doesnt have to be in exact spot). 7. Run your server one more time and your good to go. Good Luck
