Connection to Server on Minecraft?

• Hi guys. I have a little problem with my connection to my friend's server on Minecraft. The latest build for Minecraft is 1.2.5 (as of 15/5/2012). A few days ago, I've managed to get into my friend's minecraft server using Hamachi.. However, today, when I tried to connect to it, the connection status that appears on the server list states "Can't Resolve Host name" and when I tried to connect, ignoring the warning, it says "Unknown Host". How do I solve it/he solve it? It has been bugging me because it worked out fine a few days ago, but everything went wrong when I tried connecting again. Extra information: 1. My friend did not edit nor do anything to his server file 2. I could connect to the servers of mine and others, but not his I have checked online forums for a solution. The possible reasoning they came up is that block 25565 is blocked (to unblock) or that I have copied+paste (in this case, nope i didn't) Help please! I am eager to play his server! Thanks!

  Cannot resolve host name could be a DNS issue. Once you are connected via hamachi - Do you use an IP address to connect to his server (a numerical sequence) or do you use an actual hostname ( the computer name [usually letters]) If it's the latter, try using the IP of computer hosting the server 192.x.x.x. or whatever it may be.
