Problem playing mp4 & mkv on LCD TV?
-
hello everyone, i have a Toshiba Regza 32" LCD TV that i recently purchased. it can play various types of video formats including mp4 & mkv. my problem is when i play mp4 or a mkv movie, audio seems like loss its quality (like lower in Hz). but other formats like xvid have no issues & on vlc same mp4 & mkv files play crystal clear. however i have fond a solution to this on my own. what i did is i put this mp4, mkv files to Avidemux & converted only the audio track to ac3 or re-encoded to aac. doing that i solved it. but i want to know why is this happening on the tv that have hardware support to play many formats including mp4 & mkv? is this happening to the bluray players too.. i mean whats the purpose of that if the audio is not good enough?? if anyone can explain me why that will be much appreciated. thanks.
