How do i get my dvd player to connect to my tv?
-
I have an Emerson DVD player hooked up to my Toshiba 42" flat screen tv. How do I get the tv to connect to the DVD player? I have tried other websites and they say to press 'input' than 'component', but there is no component option. Help!!!

Answer:
Make sure the DVD is plugged in and turned on. Then just try to cycle through the inputs until you find the DVD. Double check the cables to make sure they are hooked up correctly (on both ends). The TV may not give you the component option if it doesn't recognize the video signal. Oh! Are you using the component inputs? Trying to select the component inputs is a moot point if you are using the composite, S-Video or HDMI inputs. In that case, select the input you are connected to.
