How do I know if someone hacked into PC?

Someone got my router password and hacked into my computer. Can they use google chrome to stay connected?

  • I am just now discovering all these amazing things google chrome can do... I was hacked. Spyware was installed on my phone and they got all my passwords. I reformatted and reinstalled win7 and reset my router and reconfigured it. I also changed all of my passwords. Now I am wondering if it is still possible for this person or these guys to access my computer through chrome or any other way. I know there is the chrome bookmarks sync. If someone was going through my computer remotely, could they have created a separate gmail account and synced up my bookmarks while in my computer to that account, and remain synced? Since they had my gmail password, could they have used my gmail to sync my bookmarks with their computer and still be synced? How can I stop them from syncing my bookmarks? Also, can they somehow still access my PC with chrome remote desktop? I'll be happy to take any advice you can give me. Thanks for you help!

  • Answer:

Chrome sucks... it is an over-hyped and over-rated system memory hog... and isn't as secure as many seem to think. Use a different browser.

no, not after what youve done, i assumed you changed all web passwords also. keep your passwords in a safe place. if you had bank accounts they couldve ruined you, banks arent to keen about passwords being given out.
