If you exercise but do not eat healthy, you are not going to lose weight. period. In order for your body to burn fat, you need to burn more calories than you consume in a day. (for example, if you are on a 2000 calorie diet, you need to burn 2000 or more calories in order to lose weight) The best method I have found to be effective is High intensity cardio. This is because you continue burning calories a few hours after you are done working out. My favorite thing to do is hop on the eliptical or treadmill (or plain old running/jogging is fine if you dont have access to equiptment) and then do a 5 minute brisk walk for a warm up, then sprint (this means run as fast as you possibly can) for 30 SECONDS, and then JOG or POWER WALK for 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes, sprint again for 20 seconds, and then power walk/jog again for 2 minutes. You will want to repeat this 7-8 times. It should take you roughly 30 minutes, depending if you need a few minute rest in there at some point (try not to take breaks, that defeats the purpose of high intensity!) Afterwards, walk for 10 minutes for a cool down. If you do this every day, plus DONT EAT JUNK FOOD. You will see results in a matter of days. This is the quickest, shortest, and simplest way to lose weight quick. But you have to be consistent. Doing this 2 or 3 times a week will not do much. And you HAVE to drink water. If you dont eat fruits and vegetables, then I am assuming you just eat junk food. Beggars cannot be choosers. If you want to live a fat lifestyle, you are going to be fat. Plain and simple. Good Luck :)

Drink LOTS OF WATER! drink a glass of water before and after every meal...this helps you not overeat. do not eat past 7pm. you should eat at LEAST 3-4 hours before you go to sleep. stay away from carbs, if you need to eat carbs try to eat whole grain. I eat bread for sandwiches and other carbs but i eat whole grain. LEARN TO LIKE VEGETABLES AND FRUIT! drink green tea as well. and coconut oil is great for burning fat(it has to be refined). eat healthy snacks. don't eat 3 big meals a day, have a healthy breakfast, healthy little snack, healthy lunch, healthy snack, dinner. and also exercise daily. do some crunches, push ups, leg lifts, squats, running, walking, jogging, anything to keep your heart rate UP. a healthy diet is VERY important in losing weight...so i suggest you eat some fruit and veggies. Smoothies are also a great snack to have or even breakfast. Hope this helps :)

Dear Luz, One thing you need to understand is that you have to work hard if you want to change the shape of your body. That means a balance of medium-high intensity cardio exercise along with challenging strength training workouts. For weight loss, you'll need to get about 5 cardio workouts each week at a medium-high intensity for at least 30 minutes. If you're a beginner, it's best to start slow and work your way up but, if you're in good condition and have no restrictions, challenging yourself with harder workouts is the best way to burn more calories. Interval training is a good choice because studies show you continue to burn calories even after you've stopped exercising. In addition to your cardio workouts, you'll need to lift weights for all your muscle groups at least 2 non-consecutive days a week. And, by lifting weights, that means using enough weight that you can ONLY complete the desired number of reps. For example, if you're doing 12 bicep curls, you need to use enough weight that you can only do 12 bicep curls and not one more. Most people don't lift enough weight to really challenge their muscles. What you need to engage in is a well balanced all rounded diet with considerable physical exertion over a prolonged time period. Food can be broken down into 5 major groups. These groups are carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals and water. The body needs varying amounts of these types of food so that the adequate amount of nutrients is supplied to the body. A well-balanced diet does not mean an equal amount of each type of food, as our body requires more of some nutrients than others. Each type of food plays a significant role in our body but excesses or deficiencies of certain types of food can also harm the body and produce a negative impact on our health. It is very important that we know how much of each type of food we are supposed to consume and that we eat in a sensible way. This means eating regular meals at "least" three times a day and drinking plenty of water, but what I would suggest is breaking it down to 5 smaller meals a day and having your last solid meal before 6pm after that you are only allowed to have pure low fat milk a mug or two would be a good idea to cut down on excessive cravings. Hope this answers your question.

You didn't provide your height. Your weight would be fine if you are 6 feet tall. You can only target muscles for growth and strength. Weight and fat burning is something your body chooses all by itself, and diet is 75% where exercise is 25% until you are a BMI of 25 or less in a healthy weight range. If not controlling what and how you eat, you cannot lose weight. When you are leaving out salads and vegetables, that usually means you are eating high fat and high carb foods and that is what makes you overweight. Vegetables are the key. And you have to be drinking something. If it is soda and juice, that is very high in sugar and also causes your weight problem. Bottom line, you will stay fat until you start eating fresh and natural foods that grow from the ground. You will not lose any weight. Artificial sweeteners also cause weight gain even with zero calories, because they make you hungry and slow your metabolism. This is a healthy diet: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsrfLEhBF9.sfMSSe1rquH_ty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20120114181657AA92X8l Continue to eat the nasty processed foods of sugar and fat and artificial ingredients and you can exercise all you want, but I doubt you would lose much weight. Usually you gain weight adding muscle to the fat.
