How To Do The Splits?

How to do the splits fast please answer!?

  • im enrolled in a dance class at my school, im also a cheerleader. well the major problem for me is that i cant do a split and in my dance class and for cheerleading i REALLY must get the splits down they say its highly recommended i also think being able to do a split would make me more flexible and less prone to getting and injury while i dance/cheer so that would be a benefit :3 im actually pretty flexible and when i attempt to do my right splits im at least 9-12 inches off the ground and that probably goes the same for my left and middle splits. i can even put my foot behind my leg too^_^ so what stretches are the best for me to do with out pulling a muscle? and how long should i hold it for? also is it a good idea to do diffrent stretches for 1-3 hours because people tell me that would help me get the splits quicker I wouldnt mind doing that though because im definetly commited to getting those splits down!

    just start doing splits on the time! when your watching tv, when doing homework. just always sit in a split! and make sure you do at least splits all the ways twice a day for 30 sec each way. when you get closer to the ground sit in the split and have someone lift each leg up one at a time for 20 sec each. thats what i do and it helps a lot. having one leg up higher than the other will stretch better.
