What field of study to major in?

What major(or field of study) is this called?

• Okay I have no idea how to describe this but I would like to go to an art college to study animation, or I guess it's graphic design, maybe motion graphics? See I have no idea what to call this! I guess what I'm asking is : what do you call those people who are the artists for Tv shows like avatar the last airbender. You know like they're not cartoonists but something like it just less goofy... I know this is probably really confusing, but any help would still be much appreciated! Thanx in advance:)
