Question about Star Trek?
-
I have recently discovered the series Star Trek: TNG. I never thought that I would be into something like it but have fallen in love with the show. I am currently about halfway through the 2nd season. Here is my question though. I would also like to watch the motion picture movies as well. I dont want to watch them prematurely and ruin anything for myself. At which point in the series should I watch each movie? I have just seen the episode with the first encounter with borg.

Answer:
First Contact should be fine. And i think Generations is ok too. But i would wait for Insurrection and Nemesis. They don't have anything major, but provide an extension of the Riker/Troi storyline. The movies are largely independent though, so i wouldn't worry about it too much.
