How do you become a talk show host?

  • Like Ellen Degeneres? Oprah? etc.. I still don't really know what to do with my life. I have many ideas on what i want to be. and this is one of them. I'm kinda shy, but working on it. Although i can be loud when i want to. Get what i mean? So how do you become one? And how do you get the job in the first place? Do you have to like apply or something...? Please help?:3

    Try stand up comedy. Or get a job at a local TV station doing "stuff" just to get your foot in the door. Be positive. Be smart. Be over the top like Kimmel. acting shy does not cut it. Get into drama classes. Be good at something. Get off the keyboard and off your butt. Do a little research and find out if you can cut it. No network knocks on doors looking for talk show hosts. It is not like the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes.
