How do you get scouted in football?

  • I play as a goalkeeper, I used to play in a team as a defender but I never enjoyed it so I left. One day when playing football I went in nets, and I really enjoyed it. I have been practicing in nets for a while now with my mates, they would take long shots and short shots and penalty's into me. I feel like I am ready to try my luck to get scouted again, but people tell me that because I am 15 it is a little to late for me to join a club, if this is true how else can I go about doing it. If it does not work out I will just go for Police Marine Unit. Thanks.

Ive no idea where your from but sounds like your in America....clubs in the States sometimes have free days where they have open try outs that you can go to and try your stuff...being 15 doesnt matter, sure your close to be to late but your not yet...try contacting you local MLS team and see if they have a youth team..see when they are having try outs next and get yourself along there...good luck!!!
