How to become a bus driver in the city of miami?

• I would just like the basic 411 or the need to know about being a bus driver. I am 19 living on my own in the state of florida and i am working, struggling at mcdonalds to pay for my rent and the other necesties of life. I am trying to do school but one needs money to do such a thing. Before i digress any further, i dont have my drivers license now but wednesday i am going for it, i am confident that i will get it. When i do get it i would just like to know what i need and what either makes me eligeble or unelegible to become a bus driver for miami dade transit. Is there a demand? is it hard to get the job relative to other jobs? i know in this economy all jobs are hard to come by, but i would like to know about this one in specific. so recaping -what makes me eligible to become a bus driver? -what would make me uneligible? -what do i need to become one? (besides cdl, anything else)? -how much do they pay in the city of miami? -what is the difficulty level and what is the persona they are looking for as far as a worker? Thank you I am quadralingual in the languages of English Spanish French and Sign Language (ASL) and i speak two dialects of English and French fluently which would be (Jamacian patois) and (Hatian-Creole) If this information will help in making me eligible. Yes i know how to drive, there is really nothing to it. A bus would be the only thing i would need to learn obviously Thank you

  You have to have what is called a commercial drivers license, but i don't think it is required to know more than one language which would be English, but i'm sure that would give them another reason to hire you.
