Someone stole my iPod touch? help?

hi yahoo! alright. so basically someone broke into my locker during 5th period gym today and stole my iPod, though i hid it carefully in my shoe, etc. anyway, i know who it was because this girl's notorious for stealing stuff from others, and she's done this to my ipod before, however.. I'm pretty sure this time she handed it off to someone esle before the school cop called her out of class. I'm really upset and I didnt' install iOS 5, so i dont have mobileme or anything like that. Is there anything i could possibly do? Or uh, any advice i can have? I'd check my email, tumblr, facebook, skype, MSN, etc. on it quite frequently so yeah, can i have some advice for making sure she won't be able to access any of it? Btw it had a 4 number passcode. Thanks for any help ya'll can possibly give me, it's all appreciated! =]

your best suggestion: DON'T BRING THEM TO SCHOOL ANYMORE if its happened before, it will happen again. know better next time, and move on.
