How To Create A Home Rap Recording Studio ?

  • i'm a lyrical 16 year old interested in getting serious with rapping. do not fear i'm no waka flocka. i want to start getting familiar with how to create rap songs but in order to do so i need to get the equipment! so far i've come up with the following: mic = rode NT1a (which one should i get there are many of them ?) headphones = dr.dre studio headphones ( which one should i get ?) studio software for laptop = ????? i want my studio software to have alot of special effects as well are there any other things i'm missing be fully descriptive and God bless u all for answering .

That's an amazing piece of equipment. As an audio software you can use cubase or pro tools. You can buy a compressor, but you can use an effect (vst) from the recording/mixing software. A virtual compressor works great. Remember to buy a mic stand and a pop filter along.
