How long does it take to send with Airmail?

I have taken the SAT and am planning to take it again, should I send my scores now?

  • I have 6 free "SAT Score Reports" remaining, which means I can send my scores to 6 different schools for free if I do so by May 15. However, I am planning to take the SAT again. Should I wait until after I take the SAT again and then send both scores or should I send these scores now and then send the scores again after the next time I take it? I guess the main question is, is it possible for me to send both SAT scores (or just the previous SAT score if I don't do as well the second time) after I take the test a second time which will be some time from now?

  • Answer:

I personally would recommend that you hold on before you start sending SAT scores. Some colleges require that you send all your SAT scores, some let you send whichever ones you want (you should of course send your best one), and some let you superscore your's. Superscoring means that they will take your best score in a certain section of one of the times you took the SAT and match with the best you had on another time. Example: if you scored a 660 reading, 590 math, and 620 writing your first time then scored a 610 reading, 610 math, and 650 writing the college would let you put it so that your SAT would be a 660 reading, 610 math, and 650 writing. There's three reasons to not send them immediately.
