How do I upload videos on my Handycam?

How to upload videos from my Sony Handycam HDR-CX115E to a mac?

• I have recently purchased a handycam and therefor have been recording some videos. I came to upload the videos but it seems to only upload my pictures. I have followed everything it says in the guide but, it still doesn't work. PLEASE HELP! :) I have am using a Macbook Pro OS X version: 10.5.8

  But you did not tell us what version of iMovie you are using. Option 1: Put the camcorder in video Play mode and connect it to the Mac with the USB cable. From iMovie, import or Capture the video. Option 2: If the video you captured is on a memory card, take the card out of the camcorder and put it in a card reader attached to the computer. You'll need to download and install a transcoder (converter) for those TOD or MTS video files. I like HandBrake from www.handbrake.fr. Convert the files from the camcorder to something more useful - like MOV or MP4. When the conversion is done, quit the transcoder, launch iMovie and drag the converted files to the iMovie sequence storage area.
