Do I have a Mosquito Allergy?

Seriously Severe Allergy to Mosquito Please help!?

• Hello, last year my mom had the worst reactions to mosquito bites here in Saskatchewan, Canada. Her face would swell shut, her lips would become giant and the bites would swell the size of a silver dollar sticking out an inch, colored bright red and puss would come out the center. Disgusting I know. My mom has been an avid gardener her whole life and never had any problems, she is now in her early 50's. She spent the whole last summer in and out of the DR's office getting new treatments and medications but they did not have an effect. The DR's seemed to not care to much and said it may go away with time. I told her all winter that she would be fine and back to gardening but it has happened, her first mosquito bite of the year and it is starting all over again. I need to know if anyone knows what to do because my mom barely made it through last summer with how bad her condition got and the depression because of it. Her job is to teach kids at a church but she cannot do it because of how swollen her face and body become. The only thing as of right now she can do is stay inside, but living on an acreage the mosquito seem to always make it in the house! Please help us! Thanks for reading my long post but we are in dire need of a cure!

  My cousin was allergic to mosquitoes and she went to an allergist and got shots. I don't know what type of shots help mosquito allergies, but they helped her. She did not swell up, instead she would get sick to her stomach and vomit repeatedly from only one bite.
