How to get driver's license in Colorado?

Can i get my drivers license in south dakota if colorado has a hold on it?

  • I have had a warrant in Colorado for 3 years and I have not lived there for 2 years and need my license in south Dakota bit Colorado has a hold on it I was wondering if there is anyway to get my license out here?

  • Answer:

No, you first have to clear up your warrant in Colorado, and get it re-instated, then you can get a license. Welcome to the age of computers. In the old days you could do that without any problem, but now days no. They all use a computer system that is tied together to stop that from happening.

If Colorado has pulled your license or suspended or revoked your right to operate, you can't get a license in any other state. You must first resolve the issue in Colorado and get your right to operate reinstated there before you can get a license in any other states.
