Want to be psychiatrist what do i need to do?

I want to be a Psychiatrist but I don't know what to do! Please help?

• I am a junior in high school and the year is almost over. I have a 3.7 GPA on a 5.0 scale and I'm top 20% of my class. I really want to be a psychiatrist but I have no money, no college in mind and I want to go to school far away from home but I dont know how to pay for dorms. I don't have anyone who can help me with college funds and I probably don't qualify for a full scholarship. Does anyone know what I should do? I'm extremely terrified! I'm desperate and no one will help me! I need to start applications soon :/

  I was in the same position as you almost. First, Find colleges you want to apply to.(research online) Then you need to take your sats or acts whatever is required for the school you are applying to. And once you think you've reached a good score (go to the website for the college of your interest to see their sats score requirements) apply to the college at the beginning(if you want early decision) of your senior year.Then submit your financial aid application http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/index.htm . Fafsas(are to help you pay for tuition,dorm fees,transportation,books,etc.) can be done after your parents or guardian get there tax returns back.The sooner the better! This application will allow you to get the money you need for college, however it may not be all of it, but most of it especially if you don't come from a wealthy family. And maybe you should start by going to a community college because they costs less and then transferring to a 4 year university once you can afford it (get a job and save the money for college, you should definitely find a job and start saving now to0!). And also go talk to your guidance counselor about other scholarships that aren't necessarily based on academics.There are some. Good Luck :)
