Were/are there more female than male flamenco dancers?

Do italo argentines have the right to call their flamenco tango , their cultural heritage?

• My last trip in buenos aires, in flamenco tango bars, almost all the female dancers are of spanish descent with a few with italian descent . when i asked a dancer about it , she was partly slav and spanish ( ukraine or something) she said every body can dance, but since the italians are too proud and like to call everything as theirs and they sometimes say things like: argentina is a province in italy. some of the flamenco tango bars managers of spanish descent ( even though they hide it) don't like to employ italians as dancers in MOST CASES. And that the only thing italians contributed to Tango is Composing the music , and their place is been at the backstage. She said you can't be italian and be claiming my ancestors evented tango. She also said Tango was created 90%spanish , black and amerindian, and the other 10% from the later influences in the great migration from french, italian, and poland. How far is this true. And she also said that they ONLY INFLUENCES OF ITALIAN CULTURE IN ARGENTINA IS THE FOOD AND RACISM. that most italians did not wanted to marry the indians and blacks and that even some italo leaders supported the killing of blacks in argentina and uraguay. even in Wikipedia, i found out that this racism thing about italian leaders are kinna true... but i hope thats all in the past now. so , do italo argentines have the right to call flamenco tango their cultural heritage?

  The tango did develop in Argentina, and Argentines of Italian origin were among its inventors and early practitioners. The greatest composer of tango music, Astor Piazzolla, was the Argentine-born child of Italian immigrants. So the tango is the heritage of all argentine people, but Italo-Argentines can certainly claim their part in it. The person who told you all that stuff seems to have a bit of a racist attitude herself.
