How long do you wait to get a reply from an online job?

  • so recently me and my friend have been job hunting and we applied to the jobs online. Should i go to the store and ask if they got my resume/application? or should i just keep waiting? it's been about a week.

    Wait for a maximum of 5 working days. But it is better to keep yourself busy applying for other jobs online rather than waiting for a reply. Nowadays, if you sent application to 100 agencies or companies, expect only 10% who will give you a response, and only 5% will give you an interview.. that's the fact.. It is more effective if you apply in person because more companies priorities those walk-in applicants.

ahh I know your anxiousness! I applied at a supermarket online (I couldn't hand in a resume because it's a store that is in the process of being built) and it took them a little over 3 weeks to reply. They are apparently going over the applications, so I still have to wait. I think you should go to the store though and hand in a resume, I would've if I could've.

From experience some called after 2 weeks, some 4 weeks, and the longest 6 weeks.
