Best Free Antivirus for Windows 7?

Best free antivirus , anti-spyware , anti-malware , firewall for windows 7?

  • i already have avast free. Do i also need anti-spyware , anti-malware , and another firewall ? if yes, which are the best, in order my computer to run smoothly?

    i already have avast free - so you have an antivirus program.(you can only run one antivirus program) Do i also need anti-spyware - you have win 7 which comes with window defender (antispyware program with real time protection)(start>control panel> turn it on) anti-malware - add free malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free and another firewall - win 7 has it own software firewall (you can only run one software firewall) Tip: I would use free PSI: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/detect-vulnerable-programs-with-secunia-psi/

It is never a wise decision to have 2 or more anti virus in a computer. It can crash and one of it will automatically turn off. I used avast and it was fined with no virus attack and cleaned virus well.

If you want free then I recommend Avast , superantispyware and Malwarebytes. coupled with Comodo firewall They are all free for personal use . It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly.

you never want to have more than 1 firewall it will make both not work you can however use an antimalware like malwarebytes that will clean out any virus i tried avast once it was alerting on my uninstalling and interfered with the uninstall
