• Hi all. I have a Gateway Monitor model # LP1925 I've got a few issues. 1. Whenever I log off, or switch user (sometimes) the screen goes blank, as if the computer is not on, you know? Very weird. 2. Sometimes, kinda often, the Theft Deterrent Mode thing pops up on the bottom right corner of the screen... It doesn't really effect what I'm doing, but it's annoying.. what I do to get rid of it is just press the 'menu' button on the side of the monitor until it disappears. That's it. What I want to know is why the monitor does those things and if I can do anything to fix it... I've googled a bit already and so far : nothing. I don't have EzTune installed on my gateway computer, or any other kind of "gateway shield." Any help is appreciated! Thankyou.

  This sounds like the computer is going into the black screen saver. The name of the screen saver I am talking about has the name of Blank. There is nothing you can do about the default screen saver for the Administrator's profile, unless you want to go into the Windows Registry to change the default item. When logging off, the screen saver always kicks in.
