How long does it take to be an IT professional?

Professional help! Please!!! How long does it take for permenant hair color to fade?? ?

• I am freaking out! I wanted my hair to be a balayage (color melted/ ombré almost trend) color... I went to a professional stylist to get it colored... she colored my hair with a dark dark brown... Not quite black but close,, and left the color in for nearly an hour! All While I had some lower highlights put in... The end result: nearly black hair at the roots and then brownish blonde towards the end. And I also had no idea that she used permenant hair color!! I have not touched permenant hair color in the past 2-3 years... My hair was pretty healthy before and now it just seems brittle... I want to know how long permenant salon hair color usually takes to fade,, at least a shade even because most the time it will end up fading... I can't cut my hair short because my hair is long and I hate short hair... I have been growing my hair out for a long time.. I know all about split ends and keeping the hair trimmed too. I went to the store and bought head and shoulders because what I've read head and shoulders shampoo helps with stripping out hair color... I dont want to get it bleached out or stripped out with harsh chemicals...I don't know what to do. Please help!

  Permanent hair color generally does not fade much. Use normal shampoo (not one created for color treated hair), that might help a bit, but you best bet is to go back to the salon and talk to them. the other thing is I have never had my hair colored and it was brittle after that. I am thinking maybe this is not the best stylist to go to. You might want to consider a different salon. Talk to people you know who get their hair colored to fin someone really good.
