Advice on buying a new flute?

Buying a new build - advice?

  • My mother has sold her house and is looking for a new home to probably live in for the rest of her life. She will be a cash buyer and wants as low stress as possible move. She has looked at a number of houses and is very interested in a new build 3 bedroom semi-detatched home. I will be going with her to look at it later today. What sort of thing needs to be considered when purchasing a new build compared with an older home? The developer is a small local company and I can't find much information online about their previous work. Any advice is much appreciated!

  • Answer:

If they are local then don't be shy about asking for addresses of previous developments and viewing them from the outside. If anyone is at home when you look at their previous developments, don't be shy about introducing yourself and asking the homeowner if they had any issues when they purchased.

Other answers

Don't buy a new build plain and simple. Made of cardboard and would be lucky to last 10 years.
