Does Tazorac help with acne scars?

Acne scars on back!! :(?

So I have somewhat bad acne scars on my back and arms I went to a dermatologists and he gave me some sample Tazorac. I am currently using the samples on my arms and the results are AMAZING. But the problem is In order to get the best results you have to exfoliate to get rid of the dead skin. I still have the scars on my back and I need some ideas on how to be able to exfloiate and get the cream on my back. I'm basically on my own, since I don't have anyone to help me. And I wouldn't want anyone to see my scars because in my eyes they are the most ugliest thing ever. I'm stuck and don't know what to do please help? Any ideas would be great. Thanx in advance! <3
