Were is a good camping spot in WA?

Forrest camping in WA state?

  • I have been wanting to do some more adventurous camping than just pitching a tent on the spot at a state park and wanted to take some friends and hike up into the woods a few miles or so and stay for a while out there. I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere i could do this in WA state where i would be, first of all, aloud to camp there and also have fires and not have to worry about getting a ticket or citation from a park ranger. If you know of such a place please tell me and if you could post a website i can visit to look into it more thoroughly myself. thanks.

What your looking for is a dispersed camping area of which many are in the national forests around you http://www.fs.usda.gov/activity/colville/recreation/camping-cabins/?recid=67800&actid=34

Call the park rangers on the Olympic peninsula. It doesn't seem very impressive driving around the perimeter road but I hear people get lost up there, so probably the Rangers won't bust you for a campfire.
