How to become a firefighter?
-
Im a freshman in high school so I'm only 15 years old. But I want to be a firefighter when I get older. I've always loved what they do and I would do anything to become a firefighter. Just so I have years to plan this, what should I take in high school to look good on my application? What courses in college would help me out? And is there anything I can do now? I know it's very hard to become one, so I want every advantage I can take. I live in Vegas .. I would love to become a firefighter in Vegas or California. Any help would be great. Thank you

Answer:
start by becoming a jr. at your local department. and if your hs has a tec school and it has protective services take it they cover a lot of firefighting. then you could join the military for a little and become a firefighter in the military. then when you try to join with a paid department, being ia military vet helps alot.
