Monitor And Motherboard?

Motherboard problem.No display on monitor but light is there?

• I am using hp pavilion a1510in n it stopped showing display on my monitor when turned on the pc, it boots with no display ,it happened when I was playing a game it just got hanged while playing n didn't respond after that when i unplugged the pc n turned it on it didn't turn on there was no display on my monitor but d lights were on the monitor and the cpu,it was running but there was no display on monitor.I did try some basics like cleaning the ram,clearing the bios,etc. I had come across this problem before and a dealer did repair it. He said its the motherboards problem and repaired it, but after a month it reoccurred. So is there any way to repair the motherboard myself.My ram seems ok.Its the third time it has occurred n don't want to go to the dealer again. What should i replace on motherboard to solve this problem.

  First, i would say try a different monitor if possible. But it will be the onboard graphics controller that has failed. You can buy a very cheap graphics card for £10 ($20) and fit this instead, its very easy, it just slots in to the motherboard. EDIT/UPDATE: Yes, follow my advice above and get a very cheap graphics card. Using a graphics card bypasses this completely and it WILL work and is cheaper than repairing it.
