Fluent Spanish Speaker Needed to Translate?

FLUENT FRENCH SPEAKER, PLEASE TRANSLATE THIS?

  • It's for a French project do tomorrow morning. Please translate the following to French NOT using Google Translate, because I don't trust it's accuracy in translating. Do not change anything, translate it exactly the way I have it. Thanks. Start here: I was born in1995. I was born in Arizona. I went to private school until 4th grade. I have been to many places in my lifetime. I graduated from elementary school when I was 12. Then I went to Middle school. In 2010 I entered my first year of high school. I turned 15 before my Freshmen year. In that year I took French. I learned a lot that year. Soon I will be a Junior. I will go take French III. I will be 17 before the year begins. I have been to France before. When I was there, I eat a lot of good French food. Back when I went, the people were nice to me. "You and me are going to school together." Not, "Us are going to school together." "You and me are not going to school together. Not, "Us are not going to school together." "I eat breakfast while I speak to him." Not, "Me eat breakfast while I spoke to him. "I don't eat breakfast while I speak to him." Not, "Me don't eat breakfast while I speak to him." "They used to run." Not, "Them used to run." "They never used to run." Not, "Them never used to run." Me: "Do you know who Bob is?" John: " Yes, I know who Bob is." Me: "Do you want to talk to him?" John: "Yes, I want to talk to him." Me: "Do you want to Skype him?" John: "No, I do not want to Skype him, I want to call him." Me: " Do you want him to come over?" John: "No, I do not want him to come over." French stem-changing verbs are conjugated with the same endings as regular -ER verbs, but have two different radicals or stems. Stem-changing verbs are sometimes also called boot verbs or shoe verbs, because if you circle the forms that have stem changes in a certain style of conjugation table, the resulting shape looks like a boot or shoe. Geroge threw the frisbee across the yard. The frisbee broke, and George realized he hadn't yet payed for it.

  • Answer:

I can't help you translate all of that, but here's a start: Je suis né en 1995. Je suis né en Arizona. Je suis allé à l'école privée jusqu'à la quatrième année. Je suis allé à beaucoup d'endroits dans ma vie. Je suis diplômé de l'école primaire quand j'avais 12 ans. Puis je suis allé à l'école moyenne. En 2010 je suis entré dans ma première année de l'école secondaire. J'ai tourné 15 ans avant ma première année. En cette année j'ai pris française. J'ai beaucoup appris cette année.

I doubt anyone is going to translate all that for you, and if someone does, bravo for them. Plus, you can never translate anything word for word from one language to another unless it's really simple sentences. Something is always lost in translation.

Maybe you should learn some English grammar first. "You and me are going to school together" is wrong. The correct way to say it is "You and I are going to school together."
