Printer problems with HP printer.

HP D110A Printer install problems?

  • I tried to install this printer and I got to 50% completion at a particular screen. I recall it said pc security tools suite may be interfering but i went ahead with the install anyways. It stayed at 50 percent so i shut it down and tried to get rid of pc security tools suite. It still gives me the interference warning when trying to install other hp add-ons but there is only add-ons available now. I can not simply install the printer anymore even when running the uninstall or the "all in one uninstall from the hp site" It always say install additional add-ons or something to that effect. Is there a registry cleaner that will get all hp related d110 items removed or a full list of them anywhere so that i can remove them manually...I believe this is the problem all firewalls and security were disabled or there is some kind of glitch because i forced quit the installation half way through.

  • Answer:

Hp's are cranky. Did you run the install BEFORE connecting the printer to the computer? A very important key when installing some hp printers. Uninstall everything related to that printer. Restart twice just for good measure. Reinstall but do not connect that printer to the computer until the software tells you to. Cancel the windows driver install pop up when you see it and continue with the hp install. Restart when finished. (edit)Unplug the printer from the computer even before attempting the uninstall.
