My car amplifier not working in my car.

Car amplifier is not working?

  • I recently wired my amp and subs and they were working fine, but then i decided to move the amp under the seat and kept the wiring the same but now the amp wont power up? In desperate need of an answer!!!!

  • Answer:

okay first thing, check that all the connections are secure. Once that is done check for any lights of the amplifier, when you turn the amplifier on you should get a green or blue light, if the amplifier is in protect mode then you will see a red light. If you don't see any lights turn on, check the power and ground and remote wire using a multimeter. If your amplifier shows a green or blue light, then check your RCA's and then your speaker wires. If your amplifier shows a red light, then your amplifier is your problem, again check that the speaker wires are not shorting against anything and they are wired correctly. Also check the fuse on the amp.

In addition to the previous answer...check your under hood fuse to be sure you didn't blow it when you moved the wiring.
