How can I turn my iPhone into a iPod touch?

Cause I'm going to England this summer and I want to use my phone to play with, but I don't want roaming fees so how can I just turn it into like a iPod touch for a while? Like take out the sim card? Or like put it on airplane mode the WHOLE time

why don't you just buy one? the heck is ur problem.

I had a phone that I couldn't afford the service anymore so the service got turned off. I still used the camera in it though. Turn off your service and you will still be able to use the other parts of the phone. It will just say cannot connect to network. You won't be able to go on the internet with it though either.

Airplane mode, or call your cell company and ask them to suspend your service.
