Is it possible to major in computer science and management of infosystems and minor in computer programming?

My college doesn't offer a computer science course..so computer programming or computer information technology?

  • The college I am attending does not offer an AS in computer science, only computer programming and computer information and technology. So I was wondering which of these I should choose, either because they are more similar to computer science or just overall a better career to pursue?

  • Answer:

The degree used to be called Computer Information and Computer Science (CICS). Programing is needed for all, it teaches you how to think. But to me, computer programing is creating the tools, while Computer Information and Technology is about using the tools. I think tool users have more opportunities and are less likely to be off shored.
