Can you tell me step by step how to connect to Xbox 360 live?

I cannot connect to xbox live! im awful with technology so a step by step would be great.?

    You can also go to wireless connections on your laptop then go to open network and sharing center. if you have wireless, you should just be able to power the xbox on, press the center X button (the biggest button) and go to connect to xbox life. It should automatically connect to the internet anyways unless you have bad connection.
