How many games are played in the MLS in one season total?

  • Ok so I have to do a debate about why athletes are overpaid, so I'm trying to find out how much $$ is spent only on entrance to the games for the duration of an entire season... theres 19 teams in the MLS each team plays 34 games there are approx. 20,000 seats in a MLS field a ticket approx. costs $30 per game Now each team plays 34 games a year, but I'm trying to find out how many games in total are played in one season of the MLS. 19 x 34 = 646 but 646 games arn't played in one year because these teams play against eachother, so it would be less. Does anyone know?

I think it would be best to ask in the soccer section. I know it could be confusing since MLS essentially is football in America, but this topic is about football meaning the NFL, college football, and arena football. You might get more answers in the soccer section.

This is soccer. And your equation was right. Because each of the 19 teams play 34 games. So a total of 646 games in a season
